Pakistan

Pakistan, with a population of 207 million, is a predominantly Muslim country with a 4% minority from other faith groups including Hindus (1.6%), Christians (1.59%) and the Ahmadi, Sikh, Kalasha and Baha’i communities.

Our projects in Pakistan take a range of approaches to tackle religious inequalities including: highlighting the impact of Covid-19 on religious minorities, monitoring (and mitigating) hate speech, building neighbourhood networks in extremely poor and marginalised religious minority communities in Karachi, Lahore, PKP and Islamabad, working with women from religious minorities to advocate for themselves.
